Well, we had a scare this weekend with the little man. On Saturday night we had a wonderful time at the coast with Brent, Gina and Ash. We went to a family wedding, and Thaddy was the life of the party! Sunday we stopped and had breakfast on our way home, and Thaddy fell asleep. About two hours later, he woke up from his nap, and we discovered he was covered in hives! His lips, tongue, ears and eyes were completely swollen and red, and he just looked like an entirely different baby! We took him to Urgent care and they determined he was having a severe allergic reaction to something. Unfortunately, we think it was eggs!
Next week at his one-year appointment, we are going to set up an appointment with an allergist for testing. Meanwhile, they gave us benadryl and an epi-pin in case he has another severe reaction! It was very scary for me and Tye, but Thaddeus was pretty carefree about it. Since his reaction, he's been feeling pretty miserable though, and just not himself. He's had a fever the last few days, and I'm home with him today. Just hoping he's back to feeling better tomorrow in time for his 1st birthday!!!
