Ice cream and the park

Well! Thaddy is at the age where hanging out at home on a Sunday with his boring mom and dad just isn't cutting it! So for the last several weeks I have been taking him on "outings" (besides the usual Target/grocery store that I always subject him to.) We have been taking lots of walks up and down the sidewalk on our block, since he really is into being a big kid and walking all over the place these days. We also like to go to stores and play with their toys, because what better way to see what he's interested in playing with, without buying it!? When he starts yelling because he can't get it out of the package, that's when I know we've got a winner in hand. So anyway, today I was taking him to the park and along the way I stopped for some ice cream. Apparently they have reeeeeally tiny ice cream cones at Arctic Circle, and after determining that he liked it (I'm pretty sure this was his first ice cream cone, unless he's had one at the sitter's that I'm not aware of), I decided to risk it all and give it to him in the back seat. It was successful! He was so into it that he didn't even make a mess!! (Well, a mess of the car. He did have a nice mess on his face. But, he's washable!!)
