Sometimes I forget that not everyone I know is on Facebook and the updates I post there aren't appreciated by all who know and love us. Whoops. In an effort to make up for lost time and updates, I bring you the following:
We now have a dog.
Colleen found some random dog wandering around on Kuebler, and picked it up and brought it over. We were going to hold on to her for a couple days until the owner called, which they finally did, TWO WEEKS LATER. I may or may not have cried on the phone while calling the dog "so special," next thing I know, she is ours. Tye is surprisingly mellow about the entire situation, despite the extreme shedding and the everpresent dog musk that now seems to invate our house. Her name is Zoltan (AKA Zoey).
We had another "snowstorm" (see below). This one earned me a two-hour delay from school and Tye a day off from work. Yippie!
I am student teaching and am totally loving being in the 8th grade again.
Tye is still working in Portland, but at least he is working!
Thaddy is hilarious and constantly amazing me with the things he says! He also recently traded his binky straight across for a Buzz Lightyear flashlight. Deal! If only I'd known it would be so easy. Next step: Potty training. I asked him what he would like for a "present" when he wears big kid underware all the time. His response: "A dragon. AND a snowglobe." I think we can swing that.
Thaddy is done with the binky??? I'm so jealous. I'm going to be honest and say that every time I felt bad about Rowan still using his I thought about Thad. :) Hopefully Rowan will trade his soon. Good luck with the potty training!!!!
